How do I enroll a student?
Simply click on the "Enroll in Folsom Chess Academy" page and fill in your details. We'll call you and and confirm your class timings. There is a $25 enrollment fee that pays for your tournament chess set (chess mat, chess pieces and a bag). This enrollment fee is refunded back to you if you stay enrolled for three months.
What do I need to bring to the class?
For your first class, you will only need to bring along a composition book for notes and a tournament quality chess board. We offer chess sets to our students at nominal prices that are much cheaper than buying on amazon or elsewhere.
Can you describe more about the class itself?
A typical class consist of about 8-10 students. It is a one-hour class and we meet once a week, usually at the same time. We spend about 30-35 minutes on chess instruction and spend the rest of the time on practicing game play.
What are the fees?
Our fees are $50 per month if you join our automated fee-pay program. Otherwise, it is $60 per month. We also offer a referral bonus of one month off for every referral of yours that stays enrolled for a quarter.
How do I discontinue?
You can discontinue anytime before your second class for that month for a full, no questions asked refund. No refunds or pro-rating after the second week's class please.
